Natural Baby Photography | At Home Newborn Photos | Baby Reuben
Welcome to the world baby Reuben!!!
I’m so pleased I was able to make it to photograph his ‘at home newborn photoshoot’. With all these lockdowns it was touch and go whether we could go ahead. The lovely Lydia, Reuben’s mum, booked his shoot back in April when he was a mere little bean in her belly and his arrival was timed just right in between the two lockdowns!
I just adore Reuben’s nursery decor, so fun & colourful, it just made me smile as soon as I saw it! Plus there was loads of cool personalised artwork, I just had to get some photos of it.
With all my newborn photoshoots at home I feel it’s important to get a few photos of the nursery. These rooms obviously get updated over time but it’s nice to have some record of what they look like in the early days.
Little Reuben was about two weeks old at the time of his photoshoot. Which is the ideal time for those early newborn photos. Even though they need to feed super regularly it means they go into a deeper sleep quickly.
I can’t get enough of the little details; photos of hospital bands, milestone cards, scan photos and more. It worries me if these items ever get lost then at least there’s a photo record of them. It must be the hoarder in me but I could never get rid of these items from my children.

Hopefully the photos from Reuben’s shoot gives you an idea of the types of photos I like to take.
